About CSTRA

China Textile Engineering Society (CTES) was established in April 1930, is the earliest social organization of textile science and technology workers. CTES is a non-profit, but also a national, academic, scientific social organization as Legal person. The Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China is the registration authority of CTES. CTES is under the supervision and administration of China Association for Science and Technology.

CTES has 18 professional committees, two working committees and 10 offices. It has more than 5 million individual members, 216 group members, who come from the textile science research, technology development, management and other related personnel and related enterprises, institutions and academic groups. The latest 25th Council, Mr. Sun Ruizhe served as the president.

“Journal of Textile Research” (monthly) is an official publication of CTES. “Journal of Textile Research” is one of the most important academic and technically authoritative publications in the Chinese textile circle, it has been included in Ei Compendex and the American journal “Chemical Abstract”.

Brief Introduction

Initiated by China Textile Engineering Society, Hong Kong Institution of Textile and Apparel and Feng Chia University (Taiwan), the "Cross-Strait Textile Research Alliance (CSTRA) is jointly established by enterprises, scientific research institutions and universities on a voluntary basis. The purpose of CSTRA is "voluntary, equality, cooperation, innovation, sharing and development", the focus is on building cross-strait industry-university-institute cooperation platform, scientific research institutions. CSTRA will promote study in collaborative innovation, harmonious development, resource complementarity and cooperation actively.

CSTRA established a working group. The director and vice directors are the leaders and decision-makers, and appointed by the responsible person of the initiating associations.
